A big round of applause for Devereaux Frazier for his article “No Less Human.” He shares his experience of everyday life living with “Asperger’s syndrome, a subtype of autism spectrum disorder.” Devereaux writes, “[I] can’t look people in the eye.” Now that I think about it, I too find it difficult. I agree with his article because having good communication is a way to success. Deveraux struggles with expressing his voice, so he asked himself, “If I’m half a person, does that make me … less human?” By reading “No Less Human” it made ask a similar question, “Am I less human because I don’t have the outgoing voice like others do?”
Thank you, Devereaux for not being afraid to share your story. It will allow us to see each other different.
