When The Wind Blew Us Away
Though our paths crossed,
we may walk past each other.
Almost like two strangers on a road,
we had the opportunity to know each other.
But we're all busy,
chasing after our sweetest dreams and desires.
Maybe if we all slowed down and looked at the things around us;
the brisk Autumn air,
the azure-painted sky,
and the people who love us.
But like that dove,
you flew away from me.
And like that blinding light,
you mocked me.
The air subtly blew us away from each other,
making you walk faster.
Faster, faster.
Never looking back...
I couldn't grasp your shadow.
Your steps; swift and silent,
as if you wanted to leave immediately.
You left me standing there.
When our paths crossed,
we could never stay with each other for long.
