Staying Young
I want to stay young forever,
But you tell me that I can’t.
You want us to grow old together,
And for me to become a grandma, mother, and aunt.
Though having a family would seem tempting,
I don’t want the troubles accompanying getting old.
We keep arguing; you’re unrelenting,
You won’t stop until I’m sold.
I decide to give in some,
I can see what you’re trying to say,
Old age is eventually going to come.
But for now, I’d like to enjoy living today,
