Hurt:
I poured my heart & soul into the confession I gave.
I told you. I said, I said that we're made
for each other, everything we do;
best films, books, TV shows, even political views.
You looked at the floor, the deep blue now cold ice.
Your phone in both hands, your attention sliced.
Your smooth, brown hair cast a shadow down your face.
It all made me question whether I was sane.
The world's a glass crown and you made it shatter.
Some disinterested sentences and you'd already scattered.
Our talks, our walks, the way you laughed at my jokes?
In the end, it all turned out to be some cruel, dark hoax.
I'm not taking it. I know I deserve more!
She'll be in my shoes, this time next fall.
The universe doesn't allow imbalance.
And she'll recognise this when her life goal becomes absent.

This is kind of (one of) the ending(s) to a series of poems I have written (or in the works) which tells a story between two people.
I've been inspired by 500 Days of Summer, various poems, and lots more!
PS I probalby should have posted this last in the series of poems, but:
i) I'm a fan on non-linearity
ii) I've finished this but not the others.
