Busy Work

School is a place to enlighten the mind,
But today my homework broke my spine,
English, Spanish, Science, and Speech,
All they give is work way out of reach,
Six hours of homework every night,
With band and drama which gives me stage fright,
Sometimes I don’t think the teacher knows,
Why they give us homework that obviously blows,
And while my teacher gives me an F for this song,
Just know that busy work is totally wrong.
