Why am I so very shy
I can never speak my mind
Hurtful things make me cry
I just want to run and hide
If I could only change me
I wish I could speak aloud
Without a single regret
I want to stand tall and proud
But that time has not come yet
If only I could change me
I'd walk about with nothing to fear
Each step I would tread with grace
I wouldn't shed another tear
To stain my pretty face
Oh if only I could change me
To have this insecurity gone
Would turn my world around
To finally be able to move on
And discover new ground
Starts by changing me
