Beautifully Ever After
Please, Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, tell me
That I’m beautiful- fairest of them all.
But when I stare into your glassy sea,
I feel as if you tease me overall.
I gave it up for love, my fair façade
And all, but little did I know, I’d end
Up losing all. This may seem very odd,
Hap’ly ever after was not the trend.
I trust someday my prince will come to me.
He’ll wake me from my thousand years of sleep.
Then I will see the person I shall be.
From there, the prince will have my heart to keep.
In some people’s eyes, beauty is fleeting.
But in my eyes, it’s two people meeting.
