Red, scorching blisters
Embers flickering out
Shining lights perish within me: hopes, goals, and dreams
Terrified and helpless
As I pick up the broken shards of what used to be hope
Reaching for the lone company of the pen,
Trembling with nothing but the sole wish of starting over again.
