Sunset
"You know," she told me,
"Sometimes there are good days.
Days where I watch the sun start
to set and sob because
I'm so happy to be alive in that moment."
I think we could all use a sunset, some days.
The striking, paralyzing overwhelm
of appreciation so strong
that it becomes nigh impossible to hold back tears.
It's the little things.
