The tears fall like a river
As I tell you lie after lie
I tell you I don't care
I tell you I don't love you
But I do

And I gave you everything
But everything meant nothing to you

And I know I shouldn't care
But I do and I can't change how I feel

So the tears will keep falling
And I'll keep lying to keep you in my life
Even if it's just as friends
