where did all your fire go?
burning bright
a shining light
it died a long while ago.
where did all the fight disappear?
boxing and bashing
but never crashing
it left with one single tear.
where did that spark leave?
shimmering and shining
a silver lining
it left with last summers eve.
where did that gleam run off to?
maybe brief and flashing
a little bit dashing
it went fast and furious, straight and true.
where could that sparkle be?
gleaming and glinting
always hinting
it sprinted off away from me.
