“Get away from me,” I spit out. I hear the echo of my voice right after the words leave my lips. I can hear the anguish in my voice that I tried so desperately to hide.
But it’s too late now. Before I know it, my voice begins to rise, his lips begin to move, my heart begins to pound, and my ears begin to scream.
